The Author, Kevin Smith has recently completed a secondment to the British Government as Department of Trade & Industry, Export Promoter - Finance. In this capacity he advised Central and Eastern Europe officials on matters of Private Finance. Specifically he was responsible for helping to develop the PPP concept in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Latvia. Kevin has a background in Banking and Finance, a qualified Accountant, he has worked in a variety of large financial institutions in the City of London specialising in trade, project and international finance. He has also authored numerous articles on structured finance and central Europe for the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and the Institute of Directors (IOD).
