Database Terms and Conditions 1) These conditions are the current conditions of AMA Research Ltd (“the Supplier”) and are applicable to every contract with a Purchaser (the Client) of the Supplier’s product or materials (the ‘Goods’, ‘Database’ or ‘Mailing List’) or for the provision of services by the Supplier. 2) All databases and mailing lists collated and supplied by AMA Research Ltd (hereinafter referred to as ‘the Supplier’) are provided to third party individuals, companies and other organisations (“the Client’) in electronic format only, and distributed by E-mail, CD-Rom or diskette. The Supplier does not accept responsibility for the readability of data. No liability is accepted by the Supplier for conversion of the data supplied to any system or format other than that specified on the Supplier’s acknowledgement of order. 3) Whilst the Supplier endeavours to achieve the highest possible level of accuracy, as lists are compiled from a variety of sources the Supplier cannot warrant that any of the records are 100% complete, neither are they built up from personal knowledge of any particular trade or profession or other body, each one must be taken at the description accorded to it by authoritative sources. No warranty is given regarding the accuracy, relevance or completeness of individual addresses, contact names or telephone numbers or that any list is a complete compilation of the categories of persons or establishments described therein. 4) The Supplier makes no implication nor inference that any ownership or copyright restrictions are extended to either the Supplier or the Client with reference to the information provided and marketed as either “Database” or “Mailing List”, as such, no limitations of usage are applied to these products. 5) Some information provided within Supplier databases and mailing lists are attained through telephone research, this activity is classed purely as Market Research and is therefore compliant with Telephone Preference Service requirements. 6) At time of delivery, Supplier databases and other lists are not screened against TPS or MPS databases. Where required by statute, this remains wholly the responsibility of the Client and the Supplier accepts no responsibility nor liability for failure by the Client in this, or any other regard. 7) Whether or not the Supplier shall have seen copies of the items to be mailed by or on behalf of the Client, the Client warrants that such items contain nothing which infringes copyright or is defamatory, obscene, indecent, or otherwise illegal or unlawful, and shall keep the Supplier fully indemnified against losses, costs, charges and expenses of whatsoever nature arising out of or in connection with a claim that such items infringe copyright, are defamatory, indecent or otherwise illegal or unlawful whether or not such claim is upheld or justified. 8) AMA Research Ltd shall not be liable, nor accept responsibility for direct or indirect loss, consequential loss or loss of profits suffered by the use of contact or other information supplied in any database or other list for any reason whatsoever. 9)These conditions and all other express terms of the contract shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of England.
Privacy Policy At AMA Research Your Privacy is a Priority AMA Research Ltd does not sell or exchange confidential customer information with anyone else. We share relevant information only with those parties entrusted with the processing of hour account and the fulfilment of your orders. We have established procedures to protect your privacy – and we uphold them vigorously.
What Procedures do we Follow? We will safeguard, according to strict standards of security and confidentiality, any information our visitors share with us. We will limit the collection and use of customer information to the minimum we require to deliver superior service, which includes advising our customers and potential customers about our products, services and other opportunities, and to administer our business. We will permit only authorised employees, who are trained in the proper handling of customer information, to have access to that information. Employees who violate our privacy promise will be subject to our normal disciplinary process. We will not reveal customer information to any external organisation unless we have previously informed the customer in disclosures or agreement, have been authorised by the customer, or are required by law. We will always maintain control over the confidentiality of our customer information. We will not share externally any personally identifiable information for any purpose other than the administration of a customer’s account, or as disclosed to the customer when the information is collected, or to which the customer consents. We will continuously assess ourselves to ensure that customer privacy is respected.
What Steps are Taken When Paying Online to Keep my Sensitive Information Private? The information you submit to AMA Research Ltd is sent to us or the third party service provider(s) we use through a ‘secure session’ established with Secure Socket Layer (SSL). This technology encrypts (scrambles) your account information before it is sent, making it virtually impossible for anyone other than AMA Research Ltd to read it. Because our service provider(s) may be based overseas, your personal information may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (EEA). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA. By submitting your personal information, you agree to this transfer, storing and/or processing. We protect all customer data against unauthorised access and take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure our service providers do likewise. We and they use secure technology, privacy protection controls and restrictions on employee access to safeguard your personal information.
