Sales Executive

Job Description

Full Time

The right candidate will be need to be highly motivated, target driven and hungry for success. Working both individually and as part of a team, the candidate will be responsible for selling annual report subscriptions and individual sector reports to a wide range of businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve KPI’s
  • Proactively target lost and lapsed subscribers for new sales opportunities
  • Manage pipeline and follow up on any leads supplied across the different marketing channels
  • Self-source any new opportunities
  • Prepare proposals for bundle sales
  • Close liaison with other members of the AMA Research team, as well as the sales teams of the wider business in order to develop further opportunities
  • Assist in maintaining a high quality customer database

This is not an exhaustive list and merely outlines the key duties of the role. Other tasks may be required.


  • Previous sales, business development or account executive experience.
  • An understanding of B2B professional services sales and marketing processes.
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
  • Ability to communicate by email/phone in a professional manner with B2B clients. At all levels
  • IT skills to include MS Word, Powerpoint, MS Excel and databases/CRM systems.
  • A flexible approach and a willingness to learn

Freelance Researchers

We are particularly interested to hear from Freelance Researchers who will be happy to mostly work from home under their own initiative, undertaking desk and telephone research, as well as collating and analysing findings and preparing outputs.

Candidates should have the following skills:

  • Some marketing/market research experience.

  • Strong analytical and information gathering skills.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing issues.
  • Ability to research, analyse and prepare a professional, detailed report under our guidance.
