Report Summary

In 2015-16, the UK Floorcoverings market has continued to benefit from relatively high levels of consumer confidence and spending, as well as a buoyant housing sector. There have been few changes to the overall product mix in recent years, with carpet still the largest sector but LVT experiencing good growth.

Prospects remain cautious, with moderate annual growth rates currently forecast to 2020. However, a key issue likely to shape the market in the medium-term is the issue of import penetration levels and the effect of exchange rate fluctuations on market prices.
