Objectives – Provide a quantitative assessment of the market in the South Midlands for construction by sector, with hotspots for the future.

Methodology – Used project planning data and other desk research with some qualitative interviews to establish the scale of construction in the south midlands, by end use sector. Assessed future planning activity in terms of approvals, as well as LEP and other major end use organisations strategic plans to identify future prospects and hot spots.

Outcome – The research identified the scale of the south midlands construction market by sector, key contractors, growth trends, key opportunities for change over the next few years and the major hot spots by sector and by geographical sub-region, where opportunities were most likely to arise.
