The construction of high-rise buildings has increased considerably in recent years, with a rise in both the number and height of buildings being constructed. The pipeline of high-rise buildings across the UK remains strong, with around 550 in the development pipeline, of which around 58% are in London, although projects in London account for more than three quarters of total pipeline value.
This report evaluates growth in high-rise development in terms of numbers of annual completions 2016-2020 and by the gross value of annual project pipelines. Estimated forecasts are given to 2025, although data will change as new projects enter the pipeline while others complete.
