Richard Brace
Director
Richard has over 30 years’ experience of strategic market research consultancy in the UK and overseas, including being joint-owner and Director of an international market research agency for 20 years. He has designed, managed and presented many hundreds of projects over this time covering most business sectors but with a particular emphasis on the built environment, construction and related markets. At AMA he is responsible for oversight of both ad hoc and published research output and is the main point of contact for clients. Richard is a Certified Member of the Market Research Society.
David Bain
Head of Content
With almost 15 years in the built environment, David has worked in market research and marketing for 25 years. This includes working for a technology and information provider to the construction industry, managing its research team – producing industry reports, carrying out customer satisfaction, and conducting product development research. David also worked in research consultancies, working with clients in sectors such as utilities, construction, education, sustainability, health and for start-ups. David is responsible for the production of AMA’s market reports. He is a Certified Member of the Market Research Society.
Sarah Richardson-Clarke

Sarah has over 25 years’ experience as a strategic marketing and insight professional, covering all research disciplines. She has worked in both business-to-consumer and business-to-business roles across a wide breadth of sectors, including government and public sector, business software, marketing and media agency, financial services, and retail.
Sarah is a member of the Market Research Society and holds a BA (Hons) Business Studies degree, a CIM Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing and a Master of Philosophy degree in public sector management.
Jenny Archer

Jenny is an experienced researcher with 19 years’ experience in the field, including over 11 years delivering research for the built environment sector. During that time, she has designed, managed and presented many quantitative and qualitative projects, sharing results with the industry through written reports and presentations. She has also been heavily involved in competitor analysis to inform strategic decision making. Jenny joined AMA research in 2024 working on consultancy research, delivering bespoke projects for clients. Jenny is a certified member of the Market Research Society.

Peter has worked for AMA Research’s parent company, Barbour ABI Group, since March 2019. Beginning in the Barbour Product Search editorial team, Peter’s background skills largely consist of writing and content creation. In early 2022, Peter became involved with AMA Research for the first time in his role as Group Marketing Manager, focusing on marketing strategy and content creation across the Barbour ABI Group.
